Choreographed for the SF and west bay  opera Carmen. Translate from old Galician to English: Cantigas de Santa Maria and XIII century book of poetry for Medieval music ensembles in Spain, France and U.S.

Biography

Julieta was born and raised in from Barcelona, Spain. she attended The University California at Berkeley and San Francisco State University. Her studies focused on Spanish Literature of Latin America and Spain and Dance Ethnology and Music with an emphasis in Flamenco Dance and Choreography from Modern Dance to Classical Spanish. Also studied Linguistics and cultural Anthropology with an emphasis in Linguistics and cultural aspects or regional phonetics and lexical differences of Latin America and Spain of the Spanish Languages and Dialects.

Julieta has a certificate in Laban Notation from London Centre of Dance and she is an active member of the International Council of Dance.  Prior to coming to the conservatory Julieta has taught at the University of San Francisco, San Francisco State University, Hayward State University and Mills College just to name few. Some of her hobbies is include, perform any type dance besides Flamenco, discussing books with her book club, spending time in museums, attending the Opera, Ballet and Symphony and traveling around the world to exotic places to learn about new languages, cultures and dances.  Also she works as fundraiser and Art consultant for several non-profit organizations in the bay area.
