Email and Network Account Policy:

Student email address ( svefg.ynfg@fspz.rqhude.mcfs@tsal.tsrif ) will expire 9 months after graduation or 6 months after inactivity to increase security and to reduce the risk of compromise accounts.

We will assign a @alumni.sfcm.edu address if a forwarding email is provided before your student email address is expired, the address will be a forwarding email address only. Submit your request by filling out a helpdesk ticket.

After the expiration of your student email address/Google/Microsoft account, you will no longer have access to emails, Drive or any other applications used by this account. Please see our guides on how to migrate personal data before expiration date. Any SFCM data, such as intellectual property and confidential information, should remain with SFCM.

Coming Back for Another Program

Welcome home! Students who have earned a Bachelor of Music from SFCM and are admitted into a Master of Music degree program may receive course waivers for credits taken during their previous degree if the course is identical to a degree requirement in the new program. This excludes ensemble requirements, PRF 352 (Piano Forum), PRF 402 (Composition Seminar) and PRF 462 (Vocal Performance Lab). Any other exceptions may be approved by submitting a petition to the Academic Affairs Committee.

The Conservatory will not accept any transfer credit at the graduate level.

Alumni who have earned a Master of Music from the Conservatory and are admitted into a different Master of Music degree program may transfer credits taken during their previous degree if the course is identical to a degree requirement in the new program, and up to six credits of graduate seminars. This excludes ensemble requirements, PRF 352 Piano Forum, PRF 402 Composition Seminar, and PRF 462 Vocal Performance Lab. Any other exceptions may be approved by submitting a petition to the Academic Affairs Committee.

Alumni may not apply transfer credits for the Postgraduate Certificate in Vocal Performance or Professional Studies Certificate programs.

Facility Rentals

Heavily reduced rates for hall rentals are available to Conservatory alumni. Please contact Director of Concert Operations at  eragnyf@fspz.rqhude.mcfs@slatner .

Library Access

Alumni have access to the SFCM library and can check out items.. The library is located on the 6th floor. For more information about the library, click here or contact us at yvoenel@fspz.rqhude.mcfs@yrarbil .

Professional Development Resources

Alumni are encouraged to take advantage of career advising and professional development resources offered through our Professional Development and Engagement Center (PDEC). Visit the PDEC website to learn and to make an appointment with an advisor.

Whether you’re a recent grad or pondering a career pivot, a mentor can offer a valuable sounding board. A mentorship often leads to expanded connections, internships, and jobs. Alumni are welcome to attend the many performances and master classes that take place at the Conservatory throughout the academic year.
